About us...
Meet the heartbeat of Little Bird! Each of our classrooms has at least two dedicated teachers who remain assigned to their classroom for the entire school year. We thrive on consistency & feel fortunate to have the opportunity to support your child as they grow!
In addition to our standard curriculum, we are happy to offer weekly enrichment programs for children ages 1.5 and up! These programs include physical education, art, natural science and more - always relating directly to our current educational theme. We are fortunate enough to host guest visitors such as our local librarian, emergency services crews (& all their fun gear), musicians and more!
All LB staff members attend monthly in-service meetings and are both encouraged and supported to participate in ongoing professional development and safety training courses.
Prior to start of employment, all staff members must present all clearances as mandated by the Department of Human Services including Pennsylvania Child Abuse History, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History, National Sex Offenders Registry and FBI Criminal History.

Hello hello! My name is Meghan! I live in Wyndmoor with my husband, our two girls Isla and our Labrador! Shortly after graduating from La Salle University, I co-owned a mobile art education franchise with my Mom, Donna, for 13 years. It was during this time that I gained oodles of experience as a business owner, manager and teacher. I have a deep love for all things related to early childhood education; the environment, the daily routines, the kiddos and of course the amazing humans dedicated to teaching and enriching the lives of others.
Little Bird is a labor of love, one that I am so proud to bring to Springfield Township!

Hello all! My name is Mel and I am so excited to be a part of Little Bird Nursery & Preschool! I am a local Wyndmoor mama to my three kiddos, twin girls, Peyton and Sawyer, and my son, Boden! We also have a fluffy golden-doodle named Piper! I absolutely love teaching and consider it a gift to get to see my students grow and learn and have fun while doing so! I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in early elementary education and special education.

My name is Devon Markowski. I am a mother of two beautiful children, have been an early childhood educator for a little over 4 years, and I have loved every second of it. I have a big family and have always been drawn to caring for children. I hope to one day further my education and earn a degree in ECE. love reading, music, being outside, and arts & crafts!
My favorite parts about working in a Preschool setting are creating connections with the children & watching them grow into funny, caring, amazing little humans.

Hi! My name is Tytianna Broadwater, and I am a Philadelphia native. I graduated from Science Leadership Academy High School and Moore College of Art and Design. I have a degree in Fashion Design with a minor in Textile Design and a CDA in Pre School. I have been a gymnastics coaches for over 10 years, I currently coach at Philadelphia Gymnastics Academy. I became a pre-school teacher two years ago. I really love working with children and watching them grow and develop. My favorite part about early childhood education is doing experimenting with the kiddos.

Hi! My name is Jen! I'm a resident of Springfield Township along with my husband and 3 children. I have a degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, and Special Education from Chestnut Hill College. I have over 20 years of experience with children, infants through school age. I love exploring with my students and watching the excitement in their eyes when they discover new things. Additionally, I enjoy day trips to the beach, scrapbooking, music, and all things Disney.

Hi! My name is Marly! I have been teaching preschool for the past 10 years in Philadelphia -I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. I lived in Mayfair Philadelphia for the past 25 years & last year our family moved to Palmyra, New Jersey! For fun you can find me either playing tennis, lounging on the beach, or watching a Harry Potter movie (for the billionth time! I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Little Bird nest! Being a Preschool teacher has been such an amazing journey! I love being part of my student's learning experience. Seeing the delight on the kiddos faces when they learn and finally master a skill is so fulfilling.

Hello, I am Miss Gloria, and I am so excited to be part of the Little Bird team! I am from the Montgomery County area and am a wife and mother of three. I arrived at LB with several years of experience working with young children in both personal care and classroom settings. In my spare time you can find me snuggled up with a good book, crafting or simply enjoying time with my family.

Hey there! Miss Leigh here, and I am super excited to be working at Little Bird with your wonderful children and these incredible colleagues. I have worked with children in a classroom setting since 2014 when I began my educational career teaching in South Korea. Since then, I earned my M.Ed. from Antioch University of New England, received a Waldorf Teaching Certification, and lived and worked all over the country. I am now a mother of two children and am excited to be back here in my hometown.

I graduated from Abington Senior High School with National Honor Society and have been a part of my local Red Cross club for three years! I have 4 years of childcare experience with all ages and am very excited to be a part of Little Bird. I look forward to working with your little ones!

Hi! My name is Quierra! I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. I graduated from Cheltenham HS in 2015. I am currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at Community College of Philadelphia then I will be transferring to Temple to complete my undergraduate degree. I have 10+ years of experience with children from birth to middle school. I have worked with children in home-based, camp, and preschool settings. I am super excited to be a part of the Little Bird team and see your loved ones grow!

Hello! My name is Kourtney Trader, but my friends and family call me Kourt! I am from Philadelphia. I have 2 dogs, 1 cat, and fun fact I used to have baby chicks at one point. Though my dogs are my favorite. I have been around children of all ages my entire life, they have always gravitated towards me and felt comfortable with me in a short time span. I have a lot of patience and I would describe myself as creative, positive, caring and hardworking. My favorite part of being with children is watching & helping them grow to achieve, new accomplishments.

Hello! My name is Lydia Thompson. Originally from Southern California, I've lived in different states and traveled throughout the US, but Pennsylvania has been my home since January 2023. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in anthropology. I am an empath, a healer through the works of massage therapy, and I have a profound respect for animals and plants. My educational background and compassion for all beings extends to your children. I'll strive to use my knowledge and skills to provide an exceptional space for learning and growing.

Hi! My name is Selena Johnson Oliveras! I graduated from Kensington Health & Sciences and am currently enrolled in my second year at the Community College of Philadelphia, pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education.
I have always loved working with children it is fulfilling and makes me happy to see the little ones grow. It is such a privilege to join Little Bird and be able to continue this passion of mine! Outside of academics I like to spend time with my loved ones, doing fun activities. I also love listening to music and watching movies.

Hello! My name is Kiley Kraft! I am from the Abington area, and I graduated from Abington Senior High School. I just graduated from Temple University with an Early Childhood Education degree. I found my passion for working with children by always being around kids with being the oldest of six. My experience is with all ages from birth-12 years old from working in a daycare, nannying throughout high school and college, being a cheerleading coach in high school, and student teaching second graders! I find working with children extremely rewarding and I am so excited to be a part of the team here at Little Bird!
Outside of work and school I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy spending time at the beach.

My name is Ashley, I am married and have two daughters who are 12 and 10. I graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors Degree in Human Services with a focus on Children and Youth. I originally went to school for business but knew my true interest was working with children. I have worked in various preschools and daycares with children from newborn age to 5 years old. I was fortunate enough to watch children out of my home when my daughters were younger.
When not working our family enjoys spending time down the shore and at Disney!

Hello everyone! My name is Mia! I am from the Philadelphia area, and I am currently pursuing my Nursing Degree in a concurrent program at Delaware County Community College & Drexel University. I love working with children of all ages and have been doing so since 2017. I have experience volunteering with children with disabilities, and I also have babysitting experience. My hopes are to take all the skills that I gather in all my childcare experiences and apply it to my future nursing career helping & healing in a pediatric setting. In my spare time, I love listening to & creating music, being in nature, and spending time with my family, friends, and cat Lily.
I am super excited to be a part of the community here at Little Bird, and I look forward to meeting you all & making wonderful friends!

Hello! My name is Ava Voutsinos! I am from the Elkins Park area, and I graduated from Abington Senior High School. I found my passion for working with children during high school while coaching for our local cheer program. I am currently an undergraduate student at Temple University, majoring in Early Childhood Education. I find working with children to be incredibly fulfilling and I am thrilled to be a part of Little Bird!
In my free time, I love to spend time with family and friends. I also have a strong love for music, animals, and nature!

Hi! My name is Skye Fellus! I am from the Abington area, and I graduated from Abington Senior High School. I am an undergraduate student at Temple University, majoring in Criminal Justice. For fun I play violin, tennis, and spend time with friends/family. I am also passionate about animal rights! I have always loved teaching and being around kiddos! I know how I would want my future children to be treated by day care teachers, so I make a point to treat all of them as if they are my own! The safety and happiness of the kids is most important to me. I’m so excited that Little Bird has welcomed me, and I look forward to all of the fun we will have!

Hi, I am Gillian! I am currently a student at Montgomery County Community College, working towards earning my degree in nursing. I have been babysitting for the last 3 years. I enjoy spending my time at the gym, being with my friends and family, and camping. For as long as I can remember, my family and I have spent our weekends in the summer at our campground where we have made lifelong friendships. I am so happy and excited to have the opportunity to work at Little Bird!
